How I collect, use and look after your personal information.
What information I collect
To give you suitable advice, I'll need to understand your personal and financial circumstances. Depending on what we're discussing, that can include your contact details, employment and income, existing pensions, investments or insurance policies, and – where relevant to protection advice – health and family health information.
Why I collect it
I use this information to understand your needs and objectives, to research and recommend suitable products and solutions, and to meet my own regulatory obligations as an FCA-authorised adviser. I won't use it for anything beyond what's needed to advise you properly.
How long I keep it
Your information is kept securely, in line with regulatory requirements, for a minimum of six years – and in some cases longer, where I have a legal obligation to retain it.
Who I might share it with
Where it's necessary to arrange a product or service on your behalf, I may share relevant information with the product providers, platforms or insurers involved, and with compliance advisers who support my business. Information is only ever shared for the purpose of progressing your enquiry or advice – never for third parties to market to you directly.
Tools this website uses
This website relies on a small number of external tools to work properly, each of which handles some of your information as part of doing its job. Web3Forms processes anything submitted through the contact or enquiry forms and passes it straight through to my email – it isn't used for anything beyond that. If you get in touch or book directly through a WhatsApp link, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp (part of Meta) and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy alongside this one. If you book an appointment through the "Book Online" link, your name, email and appointment details are entered directly into Microsoft Bookings, subject to Microsoft's own privacy policy. And if you arrive at this site through an online advert or campaign, the page may record which campaign brought you here so I can see which of my marketing is working – this is only ever used to understand where enquiries come from, never to build a profile of you or target you elsewhere. None of these tools are used to sell your information or advertise to you elsewhere – they're there purely to make it easier to get in touch or book a time to talk.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or restrict how it's used. You can also withdraw any consent you've given at any time. If you're ever unhappy with how your information has been handled, you have the right to raise it with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
