The person behind the advice.
Here's how I got here, and the approach I bring to every client relationship.
From the big institutions to independent advice
Over ten years in the industry, including roles at two of the UK's largest financial institutions, I built broad, hands-on experience across pensions, investments, protection and estate planning – along with a genuine, first-hand understanding of how large institutions build their advice models, price their products, and train and reward the advisers who deliver them.
That experience convinced me clients are best served by an adviser with no ties to a parent company's products and no restricted panel dictating the options on the table – so I set up on my own, fully independent and free to recommend from the whole market, while keeping your relationship with me personal and direct.
My approach
I keep things straightforward: listening properly first, explaining your options in plain English rather than industry jargon, and being upfront about costs, risks and trade-offs from the outset. Whatever we're working on together, my job is to make sure you understand the "why" behind every recommendation – not just the "what."
Backed by an established team
I'm part of Intelligent Financial Advisory Ltd, a firm established in 2015 and based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Over a decade, the firm has grown into a team of over 20 people – including more than a dozen financial and mortgage advisers, alongside paraplanners, compliance, and support staff. In practice, that means I'm not working in isolation – there's paraplanning support behind the research, and a compliance function overseeing how the firm operates, so my advice to you is backed by more than just my own desk.
